JIM WHYTE,
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jim demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm to work with the residents and businesses of the Central West End to create the safest possible environment. He has over 20 years of service with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The NSI Board of Directors is proud to have Jim Whyte as the director of its organization and is confident that he will continue the initiative’s successes in streamlining efforts, being a portal for reliable information, and driving down crime.
LYNDON CORNELL, CAMERA PROJECT MANAGER
MICHELE PREVEDEL, OUTREACH PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Michele joined the NSI in November 2023 as the Outreach Program Director. She has over ten years of experience in human services and the non-profit sector. Michele has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is passionate about helping others in need, especially those experiencing homelessness.
Lyndon joined the NSI September of 2016. He retired from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department with over 17 years of service. During his career, he was assigned to District Three where he worked the Federal Weed and Seed Grant. He was later assigned to The Crime Suppression Unit, The Violent Offender Unit, and The Special Operations Unit. He’s been deputized as a Special Agent with the US Marshal Service as well as a Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where his main focus was apprehending violent offenders. He oversees the camera project within the Central West End and ensures that the cameras are operational and all video that is relevant to criminal investigations is extracted and provided to the police investigators.
ALVIN FERGUSON, NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH
Alvin Ferguson joined the NSI in September 2021 after, retiring from St. Patrick Center, as our part time Neighborhood Outreach provider. He has 20 years of experience of PATH street outreach based on Harm Reduction Model, Mental Health & Substance Abuse, Veteran Outreach, case management, Housing 1st, De-escalation-Handle with Care/MANDT, CIT/NAMI Facilitator for the SLMPD. He believes in positive interactions of spirituality, empathy, and compassion to form healthy relationships to serve those in need.
